Damien Broderick is an Australian science fiction and non-fiction author. Born on April 22, 1944, he has written over 80 books, including novels, short story collections, and critical works. He has won the Ditmar Award four times and has been a finalist for the Hugo Award multiple times. Broderick is known for his exploration of complex scientific and philosophical ideas within his writing, and for his intertextual approach to storytelling. He has also written extensively about futurology, artificial intelligence, and transhumanism. Some of his most acclaimed works include "The Transcension Hypothesis," "The Dreaming Dragons," and "The Spike." Broderick currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.
